Surprise...all for baby Milo!

So...My little sister Jentrie and her husband Jake welcomed Milo Jacob Williams to their family on September 20th! Bos and I were already planning to go home for the birth, but she ended up getting induced early, so we were going to be too late with our original plans! Kyle was so sweet and booked a ticket for us to fly home and surprise everyone by showing up at the hospital for the baby waiting party! It was a crazy day, but we made it, thanks to a lot of help from others! This is how it all went down...

3:00 - Kyle calls and says to pack my bags, that he's bought Bos and I a ticket.
3:50 - We're in our friends car on the way to the airport
5:05 - Flights taking off, We had made it! - (while trudging through the check in and security for Bos all by myself, I'm pretty sure 7 or 8 people asked if I needed help! I think they probably thought I was an out of control teen mom or something!)
10:00 - Arrive in Utah after two long flights! Brad and Julie pick up Bos and give me a car to drive to Ogden.
10:38 - Arrive at the hospital and greet the sobbing crowds.
10:42 - Baby Milo is birthed!! Yes I made it by minutes! It was so perfect!

When I finally laid down for bed that night I felt like I had been hit by a truck! Between surgery and the flight I don't think I've ever been so tired in my life! But...it was oh so worth it! So thanks again to everyone for a very fun trip. We were so glad we could be there for Baby Milo and it was so fun to be with everyone again! We love our family so much!! It was a great trip, and here are the photos to prove it...

....TV..aka..a kid's best friend!...

This morning I was talking to my mom on the phone and she asked how her "little bubba" was doing...I proceeded to tell her he had a rough morning. A. he's stuffy and sick B. he was super tired, and C. he really just wanted to watch t.v. The past month has been hard with all the sickness, t.v. has become our best friend! However, it is nice to have in times of stress, but I don't want him to become addicted, ya know. So back to our conversation. I was telling her I turned off the t.v. and found other fun interactive games to play with Bos. She was so sad for him.
mom:  let him watch t.v., he loves it! don't be that mom!
me:   I do, I promise i'm not that kind of mom! (no offense to anyone!)
me:  Mom, he stands 3 inches from the t.v. he's gonna damage his eyes!
mom:   ooh cute, just let him, give him a baba and sit him on the couch!
me:   no, he doesn't play with his toys while he watches anymore!
mom: it's ok he's learning while watching! He's learning to be nice to others!
me:  hahaha. you are so funny.
me:  I'm glad you think it's cute, that my child will become a couch potato soon!
mom:  Just let him come to grandma's house. I'll let him watch whatever he wants...

So there you have it. A little bit of our conversation. Of course she doesn't want Bos to be a couch potato! I guess the saying is true "what happens at Grandma's, stays at Grandma's!" Lucky for Boston we're visiting soon!

The proof...

...the three musketeers...

I will always remember this time as one that brought my family closer together, although it was one of the hardest trials of my life I do feel like there was a lot of good that came from it. One of the most important lessons I learned is just how much I have to be grateful for. I am so grateful for my family. I am so grateful for Boston and the sweet boy he is. I am so grateful for Kyle and the strong supportive spouse he is for me. I am so grateful for my family and friends that are constantly checking up on me and my family, and showing their love for us even though most are far away.  I really am a very blessed person to have so many people to lean on. Especially my Heavenly Father. I cannot tell you how many times I prayed. Actually, I was constantly praying. I prayed for the doctors to know what to do to help Boston. I prayed Boston would be comforted and feel safe. I prayed Boston would be healed. I prayed Kyle and I would have strength. I prayed our family would be comforted and know that we were being watched over and safe. I prayed and prayed and prayed, and I know it may sound a little intense, but it was the only way I knew I could help. To put my faith to the test and really believe Bossy would be okay. Here's the background of our experience...

A couple weeks ago Boston became sick with high fevers, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and body aches and pains. Between 3 doctor office visits and one scary trip to the E.R., all anyone could tell us was he had a flu virus. That week at home with him was so hard. He was absolutely miserable and sick. There were times where the motrin would kick in and he was ok, but he was never his happy go lucky self. It was so hard to see him feeling so yucky. And so scary trying to put him in cool baths, checking him at night, and trying to get him to eat ice, all to make sure his 105 degree fever didn't turn into a seizure. So finally on Sunday afternoon we headed back to the E.R. with the resolve that we were not leaving until someone figured out what was really wrong. After an I.V. in his foot, x-rays, tests, medicines, etc. it was 9:45pm and the medical team was ready to send us home with no new answers. Thankfully while the doctor was entering her notes, she had a thought to check his lymph nodes. I do not believe this thought was any coincidence! She ordered another x-ray and 5 minutes later we were admitted to the hospital. My heart broke when I saw the hospital bed for my baby. The nurses were very nice and welcoming, but nothing made the metal crib/cage seem very warm. I never left that bedside. The next two days of the hospital consisted of a cat scan... I would not wish this on my worst enemy, having the chat with the Dr. about the risks of anesthesia, then watching and holding your baby while he becomes motionless and still. It was definitely the hardest part, but it went just fine. He came out of recovery holding onto the bars of the hospital bed thinking he was a choo choo! He was A-Ok! So, they started Boston on antibiotics the night we were admitted into the hospital, they pumped bags and bags of fluids into him through his I.V., and they tested and x-rayed and tested just about anything that could be. All in all they found it to be lymphadanitis. His lymph nodes were swollen and painful, and the infection was causing havoc in his little 19 month old body. Thankfully we live in this day and age and after heavy antibiotics we were able to help him feel so much better. After the first night, he was up and alert, watching movies in his crib, starting to eat and drink, and his favorite take rides in the hospital wagon. Yet another thing I couldn't believe we were doing, wheeling our sick little guy in a wagon, with an I.V. cart towing behind. Sad. Now, he is doing so much better. I can finally say he is 100% back to his normal self. I really had forgotten how it felt to have a happy healthy baby. Like I said before he is the absolute joy of both mine and Kyle's life, we love him very much, and we are so grateful to have him in our family... thanks to this we've nicknamed ourselves the Three Musketeers, but really there were a lot more people that helped the musketeers!! We couldn't have done it alone.

Here are all the pictures! If you thought I wrote a novel, look how many pictures!!......

Thank you again to everyone for all of your love and support. We have never been more happy to be home and healthy!! ...831...

...baby girl flower tee...

So here it is craft #1...I just got a cute little onesie from Old Navy, pinned the ribbon vine on how I liked it, then use a zig zag stitch to sew it on. For the flower I hand sewed each petal on to match with a couple buttons in the middle!
I was quite proud of myself for this one, but my t-shirts will be the true test of my crafting abilites!

Hope you all love them!!

...jamie's crafting...

Watch out everyone...Jamie is crafting! I pulled out my sewing machine! Krista's sending me some darling patterns, so I can't wait to get started on all of your Christmas presents!!

I was also complaining to Kyle how I needed new clothes, and that all I have are plain old t-shirts. So I dove into the blogging world and found some cute embellishments you can add to plain t-shirts to make them darling! So thanks to those creative ladies I get to copy, let's hope they turn out!

Pictures coming Soon!
