Home Comes to San Diego....

My parents came down for Thanksgiving. I absolutely love it when they come! It's not only because my Dad greets us with a fresh 44 oz, styrofoam cupped drink every morning (although that's really the best), but it is because I miss them so much and I feel so happy and comfortable having them here in my home. Boston is in heaven when they are here, and talks about seeing the horses with Grandpa for weeks after they leave! We don't even have to do anything special to have a good time together, that is the beauty of it, but we still manage to find some fun things to attend!

Here's the proof (and a lot of it!)...

The beach!...

Lowe's...my Dad helped Kyle with his honey-do list!...

Wrestling with Grandpa, but really pinching Grandpa's face off!...

The aquarium...

Aren't they the cutest...

I love her...

Wild Animal Park Safari...

Hangin' out with Papa...

Hangin' out with Grandma...

The Del Mar Holiday Lights...

Dinner Time, he always had to be right there by one of them!...

The crafters! Well, really just my mom and I watched!

The Mom made this...Can you believe her, I seriously can't. She's so creative and talented. She also made me a Christmas wreath that is to die for, pics coming soon, but really, I mean...

The Zoo, if this picture is blurry it because I asked an old man to take our picture and he had the shakes...

Petting zoo at the zoo...

Cute little shops in La Jolla...

Balboa Park December Nights...

Needless to say, we all had a lot of fun. I am so grateful for such wonderful parents that would do anything for their children and grandchildren. They are who Kyle and I want to be when we grow up, wish us luck!!

The HP Christmas Extravagaza was this past weekend, and we of course attended! Every year has a theme and this year it was "The Oscars." So we got to get all dressed up! It has really been hard to find alone time here with being away from family that were also so kind to babysit, but my Mom was so nice to stay a few extra days and tend Bos so we could go! She was also my personal stylist, assistant (she picked up my dress in St. George!), and prep team! My hair is quite the issue in my life right now, so this was huge not having her at the hotel and me having to do it on my own! But, I managed!

We stayed at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott, which is so nice and so cute! Most of all though...the bed...OMG...
It is seiously heaven. The mattress is even topped with down! It is truly amazing!! Mark my words....some day I will have this exact set up! Hint hint Ky!

We had such a great time together! We would be reminded of our little guy back home from pics on the camera, or the car I pulled out of my bag, but we didn't worry about him with Gram, they were great! We enjoyed the time away getting some much needed r n' r and refueling of good quality time as a couple! And of course, we had a blast with our friends at HP too!

Dave and Kyle...

Natalie and Jamie...If you're wondering why my hair is different in this photo, that would be because I left during the salad portion of our meal and put it in a ponytail! Of course!

Elizabeth competing for the table centerpiece. Poor thing had to stand on her chair and didn't even win...

But, this guy did...

Yummy dessert, dinner was gross, but this was good...I look so stupid cause I'm trying not to laugh, Kyle's "say cheese" for this picture was..."say skidmark!"

Winnin' us some big money...I wish.

We always have such a good time, especially dancing! Too bad no photos of that!
 Until next year...

Mama & Bossy's day out...

I absolutely love dates with my little man, and my big man, but for this post, little man! Even if our outing is only the park, he doesn't care, it's great to him! The beauty of San Diego is we can do outdoor activities even in December! So last week Bos and I ventured to Sea World, just him and me! It was so fun. We saw a couple shows, hung out with Shamu - he seriously stayed by Bos for 5 minutes.not moving! I guess he loves Bos as much as Bos loves him! We pet the dolphins, rode rides, pet stingrays, and Bos' favorite, met Elmo! ..

Our little Whale Whisperer...

Please don't go Shamu! I think the whale finally realized he couldn't eat him...

Bos looks a little nervous, but he loved it...kissed Elmo and everything, but he couldn't care less about Zoe?

It was so fun hanging out with my little guy.  He's my best friend and makes me laugh every second. He 's learning so much and loves to explore the world, so... here's to many many more dates!

Good for the soul...

We seriously have been so fortunate to have so many visitors! I just hope that they all come back! I always worry while the guests are here if I'm entertaining them enough, or if they're bored. Ya know, the normal stuff, but if they come back...now that will be the true test of my hostess skills! No, I know how hard it is to leave home behind, but I could never thank our visitors enough for coming to stay with us. I miss everyone so badly and like I titled this post, it is so good for my soul to have my family and friends here! San Diegan's, please don't get me wrong I love the friends we have made here too!!
A couple of the visitors this last little while included Jen Jen and her baby Milo!

It was so fun spending time with "beh beh" milo. Boston absolutely loved him! He was so sweet and soft most of the time, but a few scary times included Bos hitting, poking his eyes, and body slamming him. Yes, if I were Jen I would have had a come apart, but she was so kind and calm, but secretly dying inside I'm sure! We hung out a lot, while I held little man in his hat, so darling! We went to the zoo and rode the tour bus - the tour was great beside the 20 tons of exhaust we inhaled along the way! However, one of the things we enjoyed the most was frequenting a little store called H&M! It was great.

Seriously...this hat...

Checking out the toys on Target.com - Jen won Bos over for a year with this move!

Wrestling...there was a lot of this!

Just a nice stroll by the beach ya know! Once again, the pack horse. Seriously, what is my problem?

 The morning routine!

Bossy reading to Milo..He was seriously reading to him, he'd show him the pictures and everything!

Uncle Kyle and Milo...these two bonded this trip. It was so cute, I would be holding Milo and Kyle would ask to hold him or feed him. He's a good Uncle!

My turn with Baby! Bos was sharing his "bobo", what a nice cousin!

We had so much fun having them here. I wish everyone could just move on down, but we all know that's not reality. It makes me complete when I have my peeps here in my home, hanging out, making dinner, watching our favorite shows, and just doing what we do best together...laughing! Boston is thrilled the entire time we have visitors, and searches the house multiple times a day for them for a few days after leaving. It breaks my heart. So a big big thank you to everyone that comes to visit. Thank you for taking time to make San Diego feel more like home with you here. We love that Boston still knows who all his family is, even living so far away! We miss you all, but it's finally starting to sink in that this is our life now, and although we miss a lot of things, we love it. I love that I have Kyle and Boston here on an adventure with me. That as a family we are making it through, and not just making it through, but making it through happily and growing closer by the day. Love you all!
