Too much to skip...

As this blog is serving multiple purposes, the most important being my families scrapbook thingy, I couldn't skip this post. I've had in on my list since July when I went home to Utah, then an incovienent breaking of our camera happened and I haven't had the pictures of my mom visiting. So instead waiting even longer, we will just imagine my mothers beautiful face in some pictures that don't exist as of now!
Part 1...
Went to Utah for the 4th of July! It's fun to be the visitors at home! Everyone takes such good care of us.

Can you guess who loves Grandpa??
The Hartley Cousins at the lake.

Baby Grey and Bos at the Bubble!
We left Kyle alone for some time, so he found Josh and went golfing...don' t all feel bad for him!

Part2:
Mom drove home to SD with us, and stayed for a visit! We all really love when Grandma comes to visit, especially me!

Part 3:
Jake, Jen Jen, and Milo came to play! They were such fun visitors, we loved hanging out with them!

The mall, we had to show Milo the beloved train store!
Of course, the fashionable couple had to stop by H&M!

The beach!! This is how you feel with kids at the beach, not so relaxing!
Dada buried me...
Boston dug me out!
And Milo ate sand by the handfuls!
Kyle did his best and got Jake hooked on the ice cream and milk! Yet another victim!

 Now you see how I couldn't skip this! We had too much fun and I always want to remember it!

Birthday Trifecta!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear....
Jentrie....
She's so funny! I know i'm not that much older than her, but when I  figured that she was turning 22 it was really weird. I still remember hanging out in bed just talking, fighting over clothes, lots of laughs, and being so amazed at how she would get up for school at the butt crack of dawn to get ready! Now here we are, and she's going to be a mother of two before Christmas! Life goes by so fast, i'm just glad she is my sister!
Elder J.R......
Everyone in their party hats for J.R.! Boston is even giving us and "Ole!" J.R.  only has a little less than a year left on his mission, this will be his last birthday in the mission field! We are so proud of him, but will be very excited to be home with him for his 21st birthday party!! {And I'm so glad he is my brother!}
and Milo.....
Somebody's turning 1!!!! If this is not the cutest 1 year old you've ever seen than I don't know who is!  He's cute, but also has the sweetest little personality! I'm just sad we won't see him eating his cake, this boy is an eater! {And I'm so glad he is my nephew!}

......Happy Birthday to you!!!!

We love you all very much and will be celebrating here in San Diego for you! {831}

Can't we all just get along...

Sad for our Cougs! We all still managed to get along and have a fun time!
Unfortunately there is still no camera in the Nelson household and we couldn't capture the party! Trust me when I say there was lots of yummy food, lots of blue and white decor/team gear {except for the "pretend" rebel Marx family!}, and lots of fun!!

I thought I would post this recipe on my blog since I had some requests for it! It's a MAJOR hit at parties! The best part is it's super easy! I felt so honored to receive this recipe from my sis-in-law Dest, so you should all feel lucky to have it too!

BLT DIP with BAGUETTES

1 C. Sour Cream
1 C. Mayo
1 lb. Real Bacon Bits
1 Bunch Green Onions
1 Tomato
1-2 Baguettes
1 Bag Chopped Lettuce

If you purchase whole bacon, cook according to directions and chop into bits {I usually buy real bacon bits in the salad dressing section}. Combine sour cream, mayo, chopped green onions, and bacon. Mix well and chill in fridge to allow the dip to set up. When you are ready to serve gently stir in the chopped tomato.
I spread the chopped lettuce around the edge of the platter with the baguettes {sliced on an angle} on top and the dip bowl in the middle!
It looks and tastes soo yummy and fancy, but it's a simple appetizer that doesn't take too much time, and it's definitely a crowd pleaser!
Now Mandy, I need you to post the bean dip on your blog!!

Hope you enjoy, and don't worry Cougs, we'll get em' next year!

As of Late with Boston...

Our little guy is not so little anymore! I took these pictures fresh out of the bath last night after getting him all lotioned up and in his jammies. I couldn't believe that these size 4T jams I just bought will be too small after washing them once!
In his room, we're keeping track of his growth on the door frame. Measuring him today was so crazy, he's grown 2 inches in less than 2 months! He's now all the way up to my hip bone! Seriously!

Seriously long legs!!
 Bos is not only getting taller, he's smarter too! He can say any word and clearly tells you anything he is thinking and needs! Some of the words are still in his 2 year old language, but those are our favorite!

We are just loving being Boston's parents and seeing him grow so fast is bittersweet, each new phase is very fun, but we are a little sad it's going by so quickly!

Who doesn't love a jammie baby? Now, if I could only get him to look at the camera for one picture!
