December Nights & Our Christmas Tree!

We started off the night with annual tradition of "December Nights" at Balboa Park. This is our second year going and both years have been very fun! The museums are all open at no cost to view. There are so many vendors with Christmas gifts and FOOD! Lot of FOOD! This year we sampled the Greek Gyro's, Tamales, and of course Kettle Corn! We love that this has become one of the few traditions our little family has formed, it's a great one!
Balboa Park a la' Kyle, he's become quite the photographer!
Here's Bossy's favorite!
Natural History Museum

Then we headed off to get our Christmas Tree!

TAA-DAAAH!
Boston loved helping with everything, here they are tightening the tree in the base.
Both of their "Babies 1st Christmas" ornaments!
Didn't get a final product picture, but it's very symmetrical and full, just how we like it!
Seriously Christmas time truly is the best time of the year! Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving!

{Gotta get this in before Christmas!}

We had a very fun Thanksgiving 2011. Boston and I started early and headed to Utah to spend time with my family. They are definitely on our "Most Thankful For" list....

The lovely ladies from left to right...Jentrie, Me, Mom , Grandma Joyce, and Jaycie.

My mom made a way way yummy dinner and we all celebrated by sharing fun memories of our family that we are thankful for. We tried the memory thing as an attempt to not be completely emotional!

The be-a-u-ti-ful table!
Some of the crew, see the dinner was good, Jake loved it so much he couldn't stop to smile! And don't you worry J.R. you were here with us!
Bos and I were thouroughly entertained the entire week...
Jaycie and Grey took us to this AWESOME Children's Museum at the Gateway! All in Utah MUST go!
Practicing to follow in Dad's footsteps.

So cute! They had a great time!
Grandma got us all set up to decorate some gingerbread men and houses! She made them herself! The boys loved it for 10 minutes, then the Mom's really topped them off!

Thanks Grandma!
A couple cute pictures of the boys! We enjoyed lots of playtime!

Let's not forget a major part of our trip was the restaurant list! I had to go to Training Table, Crown Burger, Cafe Rio, and of course Nielsen's! You better believe we made it to all of them!!
We miss being with all of these lovely people everyday, but it's so fun to still live close enough to visit often!

**Disclaimer - It looks like we only saw Jaycie and Grey! We actually hung out with everyone, but Jaycie's the only good Mom with a camera!!

 Then we drove down to Las Vegas and Kyle met us there with the rest of the Nelson Clan. Jodie was so nice to open her home to our crazy family and we had a riot!
The Thanksgiving dinner was also very yummy, except for the jello! I was in charge of the jello and it was horrible, seriously, who can't make jello?!
We are very thankful for this side of our family too! Boston loved hanging out with the big boys and we loved being able to spend time with the big kids too!

Uncle Dane helping Boston play "tess."
Boston and his Cousin Band
Dam Family Picture!
ps...Dad you passed on your fear of heights/falling, it was horrible!
The Dam Girls!
As you can see we have a lot things to be grateful for, especially OUR FAMILY! We love love love you! Now Merry Christmas...let's get the real celebrating going!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everybody! Kyle and I were party poopers this year and didn't dress up! We did, however, have the cutest little shark you ever did see!
Our cameras are broken so we don't have any up close pictures of Bos, darn it. Luckily our friends are nice and sent over some pics they took...

My cute friend Mandy! We're  manning the trunk!
Halloween night we met up with some friends and did some trick or treating...we were out there for an hour and and half and Bos walked the entire time, and loved every minute of it!

Notice a shortage of boys in our ward?
A few pictures from back home. Halloween is always a fun holiday around my house thanks to my parents (and grandma, and siblings!)! They go all out, and always have the best costumes! We really missed them this year.
Rex Ryan - They are twins!
A Dust Bunny! So creative!
A monster! Who ate her baby!

Too much to skip...

As this blog is serving multiple purposes, the most important being my families scrapbook thingy, I couldn't skip this post. I've had in on my list since July when I went home to Utah, then an incovienent breaking of our camera happened and I haven't had the pictures of my mom visiting. So instead waiting even longer, we will just imagine my mothers beautiful face in some pictures that don't exist as of now!
Part 1...
Went to Utah for the 4th of July! It's fun to be the visitors at home! Everyone takes such good care of us.

Can you guess who loves Grandpa??
The Hartley Cousins at the lake.

Baby Grey and Bos at the Bubble!
We left Kyle alone for some time, so he found Josh and went golfing...don' t all feel bad for him!

Part2:
Mom drove home to SD with us, and stayed for a visit! We all really love when Grandma comes to visit, especially me!

Part 3:
Jake, Jen Jen, and Milo came to play! They were such fun visitors, we loved hanging out with them!

The mall, we had to show Milo the beloved train store!
Of course, the fashionable couple had to stop by H&M!

The beach!! This is how you feel with kids at the beach, not so relaxing!
Dada buried me...
Boston dug me out!
And Milo ate sand by the handfuls!
Kyle did his best and got Jake hooked on the ice cream and milk! Yet another victim!

 Now you see how I couldn't skip this! We had too much fun and I always want to remember it!

Birthday Trifecta!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear....
Jentrie....
She's so funny! I know i'm not that much older than her, but when I  figured that she was turning 22 it was really weird. I still remember hanging out in bed just talking, fighting over clothes, lots of laughs, and being so amazed at how she would get up for school at the butt crack of dawn to get ready! Now here we are, and she's going to be a mother of two before Christmas! Life goes by so fast, i'm just glad she is my sister!
Elder J.R......
Everyone in their party hats for J.R.! Boston is even giving us and "Ole!" J.R.  only has a little less than a year left on his mission, this will be his last birthday in the mission field! We are so proud of him, but will be very excited to be home with him for his 21st birthday party!! {And I'm so glad he is my brother!}
and Milo.....
Somebody's turning 1!!!! If this is not the cutest 1 year old you've ever seen than I don't know who is!  He's cute, but also has the sweetest little personality! I'm just sad we won't see him eating his cake, this boy is an eater! {And I'm so glad he is my nephew!}

......Happy Birthday to you!!!!

We love you all very much and will be celebrating here in San Diego for you! {831}
