Here She Comes....Miss America!

Kyle and I hosted the "First Annual Miss America Pageant Party" at our home this year, and let me tell you...it was a blast! There will definitely be a "Second Annual!"
We had breakfast for dinner, some yummy waffles and all the other breakfast trimmings!
Ya know, ate ourselves silly in honor of the pageant girls who definitely were not!

The Attendee's...
Mr. UCSD (later corrected to USD oops!), Mr. Hillcrest, and Mr. Chula Vista!
Mrs. Mission Valley, Mrs. Santee, and Mrs. Archstone!
Mr. Handsome, and his little girlfriend Sagey was Miss Pretty, they didn't really dig the sashes!
The Details of the Par-tay...
Crowns a la Aarean, they were darling!
Sashes!
Miss America 2012 Pick 'Em and crowns for the wee-ners!
A close up...isn't she lovely...
The Winners! Kyle picked her from the start, must have been her swimsuit! Congrats to the both of you.

 Until next year!

Somebody turned 3.....

I seriously cannot believe we just celebrated our baby's 3rd birthday. Well, tried to celebrate in Utah and San Diego. Unfortunately this year our birthday boy had the flu and RSV, totally not fair! Thank you to our family and friends for still having his fun birthday party and trying to make him still feel special!
But, Seriously, where has the time gone? We have just been so in love with this child since the moment we saw him and if you can believe it, love him more and more everyday that passes. Imagine how smothered he'll feel on his 30th birthday!
Boston is really becoming such a joyful boy. He is so fun to be with, his smile and laughs light up the room. Anyone that spends anytime with him will quickly see his darling personality and witty sense of humor he's developed already. We have notebooks full of sayings and things Bos has said that were sweet, funny, and sometimes embarrassing as a parent, but the point is he keeps us on our toes and constantly laughing!
As a 3 year old he loves all things outside and sports, he's really starting to enjoy imaginative play with action figures and "boy toys" as he calls them! He still loves his bobo and milk, thankfully we've gotten rid of the baba! Still loves cars, shows, and especially loves being with people. He loves making new friends anywhere we go and is pretty good at it! He loves to be with his grandparents and parents, just doing whatever you are. He's very aware of his surroundings, what's going on so he doesn't miss out on anything, and how everyone's feeling. He cries if you cry. If you laugh, he thinks it's hilarious. He loves babies and can't wait for his little brother Mac to "stop sleeping" and come out! He will be an amazing big brother, full of love.
We just could go on and on about our little guy, but most importantly are so glad we have so many fun stories with him so far, and to think it's only been in 3 short years. We look so forward to all the wonderful times to come as each birthday passes!
We love you more than life itself Boston. We are so happy Heavenly Father sent you to our home to be in our family. You must always know your Mom and Dad and very proud of you already and will always be. You are a light among others and we see how much love you feel for people around you, we can only imagine what great things you will do! Thank you for always keeping us laughing, and reminding us what is most important and wonderful about life.
Love you Bubby!
Mom and Dad...831.

Our Holidays in pictures...

You know how they say "words can't express..." Well I totally feel that way about Christmas! I don't even think these pictures do it justice, but there are plenty to help us remember what a loving, memorable, and fun Christmas we had in 2011....
Started at home with Kyle and Bos making our first fire!
This was a crafty Christmas for me, so I set up shop and go to work! Yes, that is my kitchen table in the living room!
Meeting Baby Gunther for the first time...Someone LOVES him!

Christmas Eve...

"Please bring me the Batman House"....
Very concentrated on his cookies for Santa!
Cookie Crew
This is always who ends up finishing right?!
Cousin Time!
Sister Time!

Boston's Christmas Eve jammies...
Mom worked so hard all week, but especially for Christmas! Notice the time on the clock and she's still cooking!
 Christmas Morning/Day...
Santa came!!! Our Mom always set out our stocking and presents in a spot for each of us, I do it for Bos now because I loved it so much! I have to always take a pic too!

Notice my crying eyes, Kyle made this amazing picture book for me entitled "Do you know..." He had quotes like "do you know how much we love you, " and then pictures to go along, etc... It was the sweetest gift, I couldn't help but cry through the whole thing! He is such a thoughtful, caring husband. I love him!

Right before the madness began! The boys wanting to help G pass out the gifts!
Aunt Dest explaining how cool his gift was!
Christmas Day Windown! Bos takin' it easy while the adults had the traditional crab and potato soup dinner! Sorry no pictures of that, we were too busy eating this year for pics!

Finally wound all the way down at Grandma Robin's house!
Don't even think for a second J.R. was forgotten! We got to talk to him on Christmas Day and he's doing AWESOME!
After the couple of crazy Christmas Days we still found some energy for other fun things...

 We went bowling...

Seriously, look at that body. I just lovvvve him.
We saw the lights at Temple Square with Grandma and Grandpa in the freezing cold!

I think he loves these guys.
Got together with friends at a little Christmas Shindig!

Ryder Winegar and Boston. Seriously were such fast friends! I wish we lived closer they would love to play everyday!
The Guys (and girl) went shooting...

Visited the new Natural History Museum up by the U with the tickets G.G. got us! It was awesome!

Sure hope I inherit my Grandma's beauty! You'd never guess her age!
Did lots of hanging out with family, especially Baby Gunther! Boston wouldn't let him out of his sight!

Lots of hanging out with Grandpa...looking for bugs, going to the horses, Bos was in heaven!

Dad got to relax for a few days! No waking up at 4:30am for work = Happy Dada! We loved having him around more too...obviously...

Unfortunately our wonderful trip ended with the FLU...Happy New Year everyone!
There's nothing worse than a sick baby!
Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas so special! It's around these Holidays we pause to notice how much we really have to be thankful for, and how much love surrounds us. We are so grateful to be able to travel home for the Holidays and see such amazing friends and family!
