As of Late with Boston...

Our little guy is not so little anymore! I took these pictures fresh out of the bath last night after getting him all lotioned up and in his jammies. I couldn't believe that these size 4T jams I just bought will be too small after washing them once!
In his room, we're keeping track of his growth on the door frame. Measuring him today was so crazy, he's grown 2 inches in less than 2 months! He's now all the way up to my hip bone! Seriously!

Seriously long legs!!
Bos is not only getting taller, he's smarter too! He can say any word and clearly tells you anything he is thinking and needs! Some of the words are still in his 2 year old language, but those are our favorite!

We are just loving being Boston's parents and seeing him grow so fast is bittersweet, each new phase is very fun, but we are a little sad it's going by so quickly!

Who doesn't love a jammie baby? Now, if I could only get him to look at the camera for one picture!

...Anniversary...

Today is my parents 26th anniversary! I know most kids say the have "the best parents in the world," but I really do! They are such  kind, loving examples of how to stay each other's best friend through it all!
One amazing accomplishment they've had in these 26 years is having 4 kids in only 5 years! Through that adventure and many more they've not only grown closer together, but have taught me how to love unconditionally, be caring and compassionate, and how to have one heck of a good time!
I love you guys so much. Thank you for always being there for each other, and for us {kids, new sons, grand babies} all. Your love for one another blesses our whole family. We have learned from the best.
Here's to another 26 you lovebirds!! Cheers!

Bittersweet Day...

It's a bittersweet day in the Nelson household. Tonight the beloved "baba" is being given to the "baba fairy!" Yes,  you heard right,  my 2 1/2 year is now going to be baba-less!

This bottle has been with us the whole way. Part of me, a HUGE part, has held onto this bottle as a way of thinking that my baby is still a baby. I'm trying to convince myself that this 2 year old crazy, fun, kiddo is still a little one I rock to sleep and hold all day long. Really, each stage is new and fun, but I really miss my baby!

About the baba being with us through thick and thin...
First time hodling his own baba!!
When we lived in L.A, getting pretty good and the feeding himself thing!
His 1st birthday....can you guess what he was reaching for??
If you said Baba you were right! Who wants cake anyway??
Notice the breakfast plate still full by the t.v., he was sick so Mama got him all set up!
Not the best picture or best time in our life, but baba's galore at the hospital! The nurses learned to bring one in everytime he got his I.V. adjusted.

What goes better a nice zoo bus ride with the cousins...right, a baba!
So as you see this thing has been a life saver and absolute comfort for Bos! He even named his blankie "bobo" for ease in demanding both..."bobo and baba mom!"

Baba you will be greatly missed, maybe even more so by Mom!

{Little} Big Man on Campus...

The little dude has learned how to ride his bike! No, not a two wheeler, just a trike, but his parents are proud! He's crusin' around the neighborhood here on the way to the bunnies!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Honey. I am so glad there's a day set aside for me and Boston to celebrate you and what a wonderful Dad you are. We are so lucky to have you in our lives.
You are two peas in a pod. He absolutely adores you! I know he wants to be just like you when he grows up, he's already trying. You make him happy with one single smile from you. Thank you for being involved in his life and cherishing the time with Boston as he does with you. I know you were meant to be Bossy's dad and him you son, and both of you are better for it!
We love you very much! ...Jamie and Boston....

And a BIG shout out to my Dad. You hold a very dear place in my heart! I too cherish the experiences I've shared with you, and look forward to many more. I love seeing you with Boston. You are a thoughtful and caring dad and amazing Grandpa. We are lucky to have you!
I love you very much. Happy Father's Day!

{Next time we're together, let's take a cute picture together, for my sake please!}

A new room...A new woman!

I am so excited to show this post! My darling Mother and Sisters gave me this bedding set for my birthday and I've finally got it ready for showing!  I decided to take out the nightstand and use the nook area for the lamp (which I actually got at Salvation Army!) Still need to get creative and make a headboard, on the other side of the bed we'll get a standing lamp and fix up the desk for a little office area! I'm absolutely in love with it! It really makes me happy every time I walk into the room and see it! Without further ado...

Waaahhhlaaaa!
